Insurance Group Realises Benefits of Virtualisation

19/02/2008, London: A large Insurance and Reinsurance Broking group in the City of London has commissioned Transam to make savings by reducing their server farm whilst improving data storage capacity.

In the first phase Transam consolidated servers on a VMware-based platform and implemented DataCore SANMelody virtual storage solution.

The second phase will see replication of the London site at their DR site in the Home Counties.
