Major TV Channel Selects EMC and Transam for Data Storage and Archiving 18 June 2007, London: TV companies need to archive huge amounts of data. EMC Velocity Partner, Transam, tells how it’s done. This national TV channel had issues with storage and asked Transam to undertake a review of its data management capability and storage resource. As a first step, Transam installed EMC’s VisualSRM software to display how storage resources are being used and to help its client reclaim wasted capacity. We helped the client optimise its storage utilisation and eliminate server outages and application downtime due to uncontrolled disk space consumption.
