Rising demand for Managed Services leads to 21.5% growth in profits at Eurodata
Downturn providing significant opportunities for IT solutions sector
A surge in demand for Fully Managed IT Services, created by organisations aiming to control technology costs without affecting service levels and reliability, has helped boost profits by 21.5% at award-winning IT solutions provider, Eurodata Systems. The company has seen demand for fully managed services and support grow by 17% during the current financial year and expect the trend to accelerate during 2009.
Businesses turning to Eurodata are increasing their reliance on Managed Services such as helpdesk, support and hardware maintenance. Eurodata believe this trend offers significant growth opportunities for IT solutions providers who can deliver the depth of support and responsiveness needed by businesses at the right price. As a result of rising demand, Eurodata is currently expanding its central London-based secure, resilient Technology Management Centre and service desk facility.
Eurodata, which recently acquired infrastructure services firm Transam Microsystems, offers fully managed IT services in London which range from operating as a complete IT provider, to systems management and help desk support. Each option is designed to reduce costs and improve service levels, while allowing in-house resources to be focused on strategic IT projects.
“The growth in our managed services business is not all about low cost, it’s because we can offer a broad range of high quality, affordable options,” commented Des Lekerman, joint managing director and co-founder of Eurodata Systems plc. “Businesses see support and maintenance as an area where savings can be made, but they have diverse requirements so decisions are being made on the basis of quality of service and cost. All our customers place their own business performance at the heart of their managed services strategy.”
“Our business is driven by the ability to meet specific dates and deadlines for our clients, so our IT systems being unavailable is not an option in such a competitive marketplace,” commented Tim Roche, IT director at leading trade mark and patent solicitors, Marks & Clerk. “Thanks to the improvements we’ve made to our infrastructure, we’re already experiencing a 25% increase in desktop systems availability along with a 25% reduction in helpdesk calls.”
